Who we serve

Opportunity belongs to everyone.

Empowerment begins with recognising the knowledge, abilities and aspirations already present in a community.

Based in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, Empower Society focuses on underserved people in rural communities and urban slums. Our work connects skills and livelihood development with awareness, participation and social equity.

Our focus is on people facing barriers to opportunity, with support shaped around their communities.

Rural women

Opportunities to develop vocational skills, strengthen livelihoods and participate in community life. Training has included tailoring, embroidery, patchwork, Zardozi and beautician skills.

SC & ST communities

Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities in rural areas and urban slums, supported through livelihood programmes, practical training and capacity building.

Children & young learners

Education, health awareness and development support for underserved children, including the Urza project and community learning initiatives.

Minority & underserved groups

Support for minority communities and people facing social or economic disadvantage, with a focus on equitable access to opportunities and participation.

Persons with disabilities & older people

An inclusive approach that recognises the dignity and participation of persons with disabilities, older people and vulnerable or abandoned individuals.

Traditional artisans & weavers

Bamboo, ringal, natural fibre and handloom workers, connected through artisan clusters, traditional skills, value addition and livelihood development.
